'워호스'는

베이시스트 '닉 심퍼'에 의해

1970년 영국에서 결성된

5인조 락 밴드입니다.

 

닉 심퍼는 딥 퍼플의 존 로드와 함께

1967년 이전엔 아이비 리그로 알려져 있던

'The Flowerpot Men and Their Garden'

락 밴드에서 활동했었습니다.

후에 락 밴드 '새비지'에서

리치 블랙모어와 함께 연주하기도 했죠.

 

 

Tom Jones의 명곡

'I Who Have Nothing'

이 곡 때문에 이들을 알게 되었는데,

보컬이 살짝 약하고

다소 루즈한 것이 흠이긴 하지만

사운드가 세련됐습니다.

그리고 내가 그들의 곡을

모두 다 들어본 건 아니니까

자세한 평은 하지 못하겠네요.

 

2005년에 그들의 활동 기사를

보도를 통해 접했는데,

많이 반가웠습니다.
